How to lock WhatsApp Web with a password
WhatsApp Web asks nothing of whoever sits at your computer. If you serve clients over WhatsApp, that is the same as leaving your work inbox open. Zapkit locks the session with a PIN, and can lock it on its own after some idle time.
Step by step
- Install Zapkit and open the features panel.
- Set a PIN and, if you want, the idle time before it locks itself.
- Type the PIN to come back.
The PIN never leaves your machine
It is stored as a salted hash in your browser and never sent to any server. Not even we can read it.
It locks by itself
The real case is not remembering to lock, it is walking off for coffee and forgetting. That is why idle locking exists.
Alarm on wrong attempts
Optional, for when someone tries to guess while you are away.
