How to hide WhatsApp Web chats on your screen
In an office, in a cafe, or while sharing your screen in a meeting, an open WhatsApp Web gives away more than you would like: client names, photos, the first line of every message. Privacy mode blurs that and reveals only the conversation you are hovering over.
Step by step
- Install Zapkit and open WhatsApp Web.
- Turn on privacy mode from the Zapkit button in the sidebar.
- Hover over the chat you want to read. The rest stays blurred.
Inside groups too
In a group, the sender name and the avatar on the bubble are blurred as well, along with media and link previews. Reactions are left out, since they are public anyway.
Built for screen sharing
That is where the mistake hurts most: a recorded meeting with your client list visible in the corner. Turning privacy mode on before you share takes one click.
Off whenever you want
It is a switch, not a buried setting. On and off from the same button.
